What Is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)?

How Does CBT Work?

  • You will attend sessions with one of our skilled mental health practitioners, during which you will talk about the challenges you are facing.   • You may need to do some “homework” between sessions, which will help you perform a self-analysis. This will equip you to pinpoint and start changing emotions and thought patterns that do not serve you. In a sense, then, you will “become your own therapist.” While this can be difficult at times, your commitment to this part of the process will likely yield positive results!

CBCT is sometimes used alongside other treatment methods, such as medication, to provide the best possible outcomes.
